It took only an hour for an experience that lasts a lifetime   It  is a bit like being given my own reset button that returns me to a resourceful state   Many thanks

Ulcers caused by stress

It's often said that those that get stressed often will get ulcers, but that's simply not medically possible. You can't actually create ulcers from stress. But the two are linked in the way that you can be more susceptible to the bacteria (heliobacter pylori) if you are stressed, and that bacteria can cause ulcers. Simple stomach aches are not necessarily the sign of an ulcer, but stopping stress can prevent you from increasing your risk.
  • Keep a pain journal - If you get stomach pains often, you might want to keep a journal of the pain, what you've eaten, and what helped the pain get better. From that, you may be able to manage your own symptoms.
  • Settle the acid - If your stomach feels like it is burning, that doesn't mean you have ulcers, but it can mean that there's too much acid in your stomach - and that can be painful and problematic. To stop the acid buildup, try snacking on crackers or chewing gum. These can both help to absorb and counteract the acid that you are feeling.
  • Let your worries go - When you're feeling pain in your stomach, that's often a sign of anxiety. To help you reduce this pain, you might want to write down all of your worries on a piece of paper and throw it out whenever you need the release. If you find that you are worrying more at night, try writing down all of your worries and placing them in a separate room far away from you. You can always worry about them in the morning.
  • Get some help - Too often, we allow ourselves to be worked into a frenzy because we refuse help from others. Instead, try to have someone else help you with a task you need to complete. This will help them feel needed and you to feel more calm.
  • Work out your anger - Another common reason for ulcer pain (if you have them already) is anger. To help yourself work out your angry, try doing something physical whenever you begin to feel angry, BEFORE the pain starts. Try to release any of the physical energy that's being built up by the anger.

Ulcers may not be caused by stress, but they can certainly feel like it. If you've been suffering from stomach pain for a while and have not found relief, visit your doctor.  Learning how to relax is very useful too.
