In a few moments with Charles he gave me a sense of ANYTHINGS POSSIBLE which I can tap into at will This has been a quantum change in personal happiness and my career Jillian Whitelam NLP Practitioner | Resentment over payAlong with feeling underappreciated at work, the idea of how much you are paid (or not paid, as the case may be) can be problematic when it comes to times of stress. With all of the tasks that are asked of you, you might begin to feel like your pay isn't covering your work time. Instead of allowing this feeling to create more stress in your life, here are some stress management tips that you can use right now to help settle the pay issue.- Write down everything you do - When you're starting to feel like you don't get paid enough, you might want to write down all of the things that you do during the day. This will give you an accurate representation of your worth as an employee. If you find that you are doing a lot during the day, but you feel like your pay isn't covering your accomplished tasks, you might want to move onto the next tip.
- Go to your boss - Instead of stewing about your pay, why not talk to the person who can do something about it? Your boss. With your list of tasks in hand, you can show your boss what you do on a regular basis and ask if there is anything else that you can add in order to qualify for a pay raise. Be calm in your discussion and have a number that will be more satisfying to you. If your boss feels that you can do more, you will have an action plan in place that you can follow through on to get the raise you feel you deserve.
- Don't discuss your salary with others in the company - There's a reason why you're not supposed to talk about the money you make with others in your company. When workers disclose their pay to others, they can cause resentment to build up as some will be paid more than others, often for the same job. The management of the pay scale is up to the boss and to human resources alone. Even if you feel like there is a large disparity in the pay that your coworkers receive, why look for disparity in the first place?
- Look for other things that 'pay' you well - Most every job has other perks that take the place of the money you might not be making. Maybe you have a terrific gym on site or some other fringe benefits. Try to add these into the money you are making to show just how much you are really receiving on your paycheck.
