How to prevent Obsessive Compulsive Disorder by learning how to relax using the Functional Relaxation System

South West London or over the telephone

What is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder, characterized by recurrent and unwanted thoughts or obsessions and repetitive behaviors .i.e. compulsions. Typical examples of repetitive behaviors include hand washing, counting, checking or cleaning. These actions are carried out with the hope of preventing the obsessive thoughts or in an attempt to make them go away. However, performing these actions provides only temporary relief and actually aggravates the problem in the longer run. The thoughts and behaviors that people with OCD experience are senseless, repetitive, distressing and sometimes harmful and they can be difficult to overcome.

Treating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder by learning how to relax

Neurotic disorders such as the obsessive-compulsive disorder are primarily caused by feelings of insecurity, tension, stress and anxiety. At the 4th R we teach people an everyday kind of relaxation that remains with them - out socially, in the home, and at work.  It's called the Functional Relaxation System.

Find out about the method we use to teach people how to relax by calling us on 020-8974-8974.  Or find out about the services that we provide on-line.
