![]() The word Health in English is based on a Anglo Saxon word hale meaning whole That is to be healthy is to be whole | Intolerance of others• Try to find the good in everyone - While this may be difficult at first, you can find something good to say about everyone in your life. Maybe it's simply that they know your name or that they treat you with respect, but everyone has had some sort of positive impact in your life. It's just time for you to acknowledge it. • Treat others as you wish to be treated - Sometimes we are intolerant of others because we're afraid they might treat us poorly. Instead, why not go out of your way to be nice to others? Greet them when you see others and try to be pleasant in your exchanges. In time, you will find that this goes a long way in managing stress. • Try to keep some time for yourself - Instead of giving all your time to others, thus increasing your intolerance of their actions, try to set aside some time each day that's for you and you alone. At the end of each day, maybe you can sit with a good book for a few hours. Or perhaps you can close your office door during your lunchtime just to get some peace and quiet. In any case, reserve some ‘you' time to help with preventing stress. • Realise that everyone is only worried about themselves - When you begin to feel that the whole world is out to ‘get' you, try to remember that most people are more concerned about themselves than they are about anyone else. Those snide comments or irritation with you may just be the result of something they're feeling. Try to remember that everyone is allowed to be stressed just as much as you are. When you're feeling intolerant of others, you need to step back and realize that you're going to get through this stressful time. And if you try to reach out to others instead of avoiding them, you may just find yourself with less stress than before. Sometimes we just all need to remember that we're together in this world - and that we can all learn to be more tolerant.
