To live life being profound relaxed does not require a divine intervention That happened when you were born and is simply dormant within you Charles Moore The4thR | Inability to take feedbackDealing with stress means that you're probably already sensitive to the events in your life right now. So when you hear about feedback from projects you've done, and it's not positive feedback, it can send you right into a tailspin. You're hurt and upset and disappointed in yourself. Often, you can become so upset that you don't listen to the feedback and can cause more problems for yourself when you go back to redo the project. Here are some ways to handle feedback when you're also managing stress.- Look at the feedback as though it were someone else's - When you stop thinking that feedback is a personal attack on you, you can begin to see what it's actually saying and how you can apply it to your work situation. Just try to read or listen to the feedback as though you needed to report it to someone else. That will help you see it for its worth and not as an attack on you.
- Let it sit for a few days - If you can, try to let the feedback go for a few days and deal with it after you have had time to calm down. Often, the feedback will sting less when it's had time to 'cool.' Go back to it in a few days after that too in order to find out what exactly you need to do and what happens next.
- Remember that learning more will help you in the future - Though it may not seem like it, feedback is a tool that you can use for future work. When you apply the feedback you receive to your projects, you will hopefully prevent any negative feedback in the future. In addition, the more open you are to feedback, the more your boss will see that you are trying to do your very best.
- Read it several times or ask for it to be repeated - When you're receiving feedback, you need to make sure you are hearing or reading it correctly. Ask for clarification of any points that don't seem to be clear and also be sure that you are heading in the proper direction.
Feedback is a valuable tool in that helps you in the progress of your career as well as in your personal life. But being able to accept it will help you look at it not as an additional stressor, but more as a way that you can better yourself. What Relaxation Training Specialists The 4th R Can Do For You
