10 Essential Tips

Here are 10 Essential Tips for People with an Acute or Chronic Medical Condition who Must Learn to Relax.

Give yourself or someone you know the gift of a Relaxation Assessment.  Relaxation specialist Charles Moore conducts a beneath the surface level assessment of how you are organizing your system (body/mind) and he will bring to your attention the factors which drive how relaxed/at east you are within yourself as well as specific suggestions that will transform your sense of yourself. Your assessment with its recommendations will shine a spot light on what's necessary for your system to "be at rest" as a matter of default.

1.   Practice thinking in terms of "What Possible" instead of what's wrong.

2.   Get to know what it feels like in your body when you are completely at ease so that you can replicate it at any time.

3.   Remind yourself that you live in and are part of a benevolent universe.

4.   Act with intentionality by having a clear intention in mind with everything you do.

5.   Stop doing things that compromise your emotional well-being.

6.   Dilute the power of a difficult situation by surrendering to it and then re-directing it rather than fighting it head on.

7.  Scan your body for tension and release any that you find.  Do this twice a day.

8.  Learn how to interrupt acute pain and for that interruption to become the trigger for feeling profoundly relaxed.

9.  Imagine what it would feel like in your body to move like water.  Practice moving like this.

10. Only spend time with people who have high standards for themselves and others, who operate from a "what's possible" position, and who will support you doing the things on this list.
